The Verdict- STOLEN

The court proceeding held at the High Court Ikeja. The King’s Forensics had nothing to tender, despite all the gathered points and facts. Incognito refused to do anything, he said they’d let it pass. So they lost the case at the trial court for not having enough evidences to nail the accused to the offence for which he was arrested and they were to recompense Charles with Two million Naira damages for the defamation of character
Everyone at the King’s Forensics felt bad and sorry for what had befallen them. Incognito apologized formally to Charles and his wife, Temmy; for the defamation of character.
Temmy said
“I told you my husband is not a criminal. Anyway, I’m sorry for your loss and I advise that you should get all proof unto certainty before you prosecute people.”
“Incognito,” Charles said “it is no problem. I didn’t want to get this far, but I have a name to protect.”
Incognito shook hands with Charles, he remove his shade from his breast pocket and placed it on his nose bridge. His face was deserted with smile obviously. But as he turned his back at Charles and Temmy in front of the court, he grinned. He walked to the bus where other staff were and closed the passenger door since everyone had entered. He entered the front near the driver, closed the door and used his safety belt.
He noticed the quietness in the vehicle’s atmosphere; he removed his shade and turned around.
“Come on guys, cheer up! We are appealing the judgement of the High Court in the next two weeks.”
*****
Three weeks after, the case was set. The court had been called to order. The court clerk read;
“This is suit number Lag/237/14, on this day may fourteen, year two thousand and fourteen. This case is brought forward before this court and your honor, King’s Forensics versus Charles. This firm is appearing before your lordship for consideration and review of the case which was held at the high court, now that they have full proofs and evidence of whom the criminal is.”
The judge beat the gavel and the appellant’s lawyer came forward
The court went on and the lawyer to the King’s Forensics brought new witnesses forward and new evidences.
The lawyer to the defendant raised an objection owing to the fact that new witness(es) or evidence(s) are not meant to be presented in the court of appeal, they ought to have been presented in the trial court. The judge overruled the defendant’s argument and considered the new evidence.
The evidence and witness presented pointed at a criminal case, so the judge therefore said they should go and file a new suit for a criminal offence at a high court.

********
A new suite was filed, it was the State versus Charles.
“Your honor, the State is appearing before this court for the prosecution of a criminal which is meant to rot in jail; for if we have ten of him in this country, Nigeria is no longer safe.”
The prosecuting lawyer was saying
“Your honor, let me present my witnesses and evidences to this court; please let me have Mrs Temmy Kolawole here in the witness box.” Temmy walked up, was asked the usual routine question involving name, address, and many things among others. The lawyer continued. “Temmy, based on the statement you gave to the police, you said the place you were was always noisy and that light never passed out. Am I right?”
“Yes.” Temmy replied.
“Okay,” the lawyer continued. “You also said the place was isolated from public houses and you got to know the place was Hadejia in Jigawa state right?”
“Yes.” Temmy replied.
The lawyer to the State went to his desk and brought out a sketch out a sketched portrait of someone. He asked “Do you know who this is?” he showed the sketch to Temmy.
“That is one of my abductors”
Other questions were asked for the examination; like, what was done after she escaped and color of clothes worn by her abductors among others.
“Okay ma, thank you. That would be all” The lawyer said. He turned towards the judge. “Your honor, please permit me to call over Qazeem, a victim of the same person on the picture.”
The judge nodded his head in affirmation.
Qazeem was asked his job, occupation and some other routine questions? After that he was asked,
“Mr Qazeem,” the lawyer said, since he had Qazeem in the witness box. Do you know who is in this picture?”
“Yes sir, he is one of those who captured me the first time they said they had a job for me. And he is also the one who came at me, during madam’s wedding.”
“By madam, you mean Mrs Kolawole Temmy?” He said pointing at Temmy’s direction.
“Yes sir.” Qazeem said.
Both lawyers asked Qazeem questions in their own style and pattern according to routine,
The State’s lawyer walked forward to submit the picture evidence. Several evidences and witnesses were brought forth to defend and argue the case. Both attorneys fought with words to defend their clients.

Kenny as well as other King’s Forensics agents came forth as witnesses and gave their discoveries and researches.
The judge who was wearing a red robe  gave the verdict and the criminal was to serve the punishment to the charges counted against him.

A month later, Incognito was talking with the interviewer of the King’s Quarterly magazine, he gave the detailed summary of the STOLEN case.
He was saying;
“Well, Kenny listened in to a call from someone to Tunde, the best groom’s man on Charles’ wedding; he was talking about his facility which the police closed down in Jigawa.
“On the night before Tunde received this disturbing call, what happened was that Randy and Segun visited the facility where Temmy was held at Jigawa. They realized the face in the sketch which Qazeem and Temmy had given. And also, they saw the car which had posed threat on my life When I was returning from Osogbo, at a time. So with these, they called the local police department; who rounded up everyone in the facility and shut down the place.
“They also realized the facility belonged to Mr Tunde Daniels” He took a pause
“It would also interest you to know that Mr Tunde Daniels owns Orbit Pin Hospital which Charles uses and the devise used for the brainwashing on Qazeem and Temmy also belonged to this same Mr Tunde Daniels.
“So now, what do we say?” Incognito stretched in the chair he was sitting, “That Mr Daniels is ignorant of all these things listed?” He faced the interviewer who looked confused and had his mouth slightly ajar.
“Barrister Kayode had said in court, that we had no proper understanding about this case, we have been trying to tie knot with the short dreads on the head.  Initially, he thought we wanted to prosecute his client, but that we ended up defending him, then shifted our gaze to Tunde. And then, we were steering towards Charles again. He called it rubbish and lack of direction, but the truth remains; there was a twist, and it had to be unlocked a layer after another.
“In court, Adamu was asked if he had seen Charles before, his reply was that…
“I say I neba see am por me fah. Abi my ear, I dey deaf? Meaning; I said I’ve never seen him before, or are you deaf?” Incognito said in mimicry. “He claimed he worked for the ‘Pivot metal Industries’. And when asked who was the person that sent him on those secret and evil missions; I mean the kidnap and sorts. Adamu looked away with anger, he turned his face away and said “Oga Tunde”
“It was no surprise that Adamu never knew Charles, and it would surprise you to know as well that Adamu did not not know Tunde in person. Adamu was hired by the manager of the Pivot metal Industries, so he never met the owner of the industry which happened to be Tunde Daniels.
“Mr Tunde Daniels had never seen this figure called Adamu before, but Adamu knew him and had a mental picture of him, because he had also been brainwashed and Tunde’s image was flashed on the Tachistoscope projector to replace the image of Charles on his mind. This brainwashing was done by a strange doctor.
“Charles had once been in the Congo military system, a special undercover ops. What was mostly  done by these ops was programming the minds of soldiers to be fearless to situations, they are programmed as zombies and sent to war front; without feelings or family remembrance. That was how Charles knew about brainwashing. We got to know this from Ade’s diaries, Ade and Charles were the closest in the team BLACK. Ade had kept records over years of happenings in his diary, one of the entries was ‘Glad Charles returned from the Congo-Bazin war.’ So we made an expensive contact to the republic of Congo and obtained Charles’ file. We were able to know that He brought the doctor who performed the mind incarceration and superimposition back at Congo, to Nigeria to perform these impositions on people again. How Charles met with Adamu and Jack, we still can’t tell, but we do know he performed brainwashing on them and he saved his mobile number contact as Tunde on their phones.
“When Adamu and others at the nail industry were taken into police custody,  we checked through Adamu’s phone records and realized that the number saved as Oga Tunde was the same, saved as Mr Tunde Daniels on Jack’s phone. And the number wasn’t Tunde’s at all; it was Charles’ but only saved as Tunde’s. That was another evidence which gave us an edge at the last trial court filed on a criminal suit.”
“We also went further to see who got the land upon which The Pivot Metal Industries is built,” Incognito continued. “the record at the local town government council showed Tunde Daniels. After several diggings and probing, we realized the land was bought under the name ‘Charles Kolawole’. Charles did all legal handlings and transfer to Tunde, so that he wouldn’t seem to have any link. The same thing happened with the land upon which the Orbit Pin Hospital breathes in Ibadan. Charles was the buyer, but he transferred it to Tunde.
“Having spoken with Tunde, he said Charles brought the idea of Orbit Pin, and he was the one who pleaded the honor of having Lekan as the Chief Doctor, Dr. Lekan is a member of the BLACK team of childhood friends.”
“Charles knew what he was doing; he needed someone that would be held responsible for his crimes, in case there was a twist. That was why he chose Tunde Daniels, a poor man from the streets, raised him up and furnished his life; as if he was the Favor and Mercy of God personified. Charles had been planning this a long time.
“So he understood unconscious implant of people and things on the mind of humans, he pushed Tunde to Prisca, so that Prisca would escape the kidnap in a sense and that it would be like a set up on the other side. That was a dangerous gamble though.” Incognito wiped his forefinger over his moustache for a pause and continued.
“Charles told Mrs Sonekan, Temmy’s mother for a choice of the bridal car; she did and told Charles what car type and model it was. Charles went to get an exact twin and kept it at the wedding event center some days before and kept it under a thick skin-cloth. A neighbor had said he noticed a car parked and covered a day before the wedding, but since Kwara state is peaceful, he didn’t bother to get so disturbed about it. He had also gotten another set of decorators and while the merriment continued inside, they did a quick simulation of the bridal car’s decoration, while Qazeem’s brainwashing data was updated as he slept in the car. Plate number was nothing to be worried about, since it was going to be covered with ‘About to wed’ or ‘just wedded’. It was a car with tinted windows, so nobody would have seen the face of the driver, from the side, not even Temmy.
“Well, like Charles had said, this wasn’t about Temmy. The kidnap was only a path to mislead real intentions and cause diversion to a primary objective. It was all about the team BLACK.
“It is wonderful to know that Charles appeared to be the most successful of this group of friends, despite his little, known works. All member of the team gives him a quality percentage of their profits or earnings, why? Because Charles helped them out. He placed Lekan as a doctor at Orbit Pin, he helped Ben fund his business whenever things get swinging so slow, even Barrister Kayode, who was Charles’ defendant in the court; Charles helped him build his chamber.
“Ade was the only one who knew what Charles did, that was why he was killed. He was killed by Jack and Adamu. From our forensics analyses on the cadaver, we were able to recognize two major knife cut patterns, one was inflicted by a righted handed, and another by a left handed, Adamu is left handed, he has a peculiar knife he uses that never leaves him for a second. This same knife was what he used to severe my tire, another time in Osogbo.
“His wife said Ade wouldn’t talk to her, but in his diary, we read where he wrote, “Distrust, a shoe with stolen diamonds”. His wife said she wouldn’t know what it meant, but with our findings, we realized the shoes Temmy wore on her wedding day were forged and grimaced with diamond flecks. That was what Charles did with the sack of diamonds which the group found and kept before leaving the village, Ilesha. Ade had travelled with Charles on this day to get the shoe from the shoemaker in Abuja. We were able to narrow down what sort of shoemaker uses ornaments on shoes; and the man in charge said he remembered Both of them.
“The diamonds kept back then, was to be shared among every member of the BLACK team after they have all married. So, that was the mutual benefit to every black that married. Each member’s marriage gave an hope to the wealth stashed away.
“Then, I noticed from my journey to Charles’ residence that, there was a collage piece that was from the book of Isaiah in the Holy Bible chapter 14 verse 9. It was such a bizarre thing to put in one’s sitting room. I guessed, other members of the team BLACK as well as Tunde got the unusual interpretation of that scriptural verse from Charles and made it a slang. They say ‘hell is stirred at the coming of one.’
“The poem on a blog site signed up by Charles made him look more of a sadist and a gamer; which enhanced his prosecution.
“The poem was gotten from the same text, and wrongly moulded. Although we were unable to get the computer brain behind all Charles’ work, but we know he is not going to run the street long before he is brought to justice.

“We have all seen the links in the loop. The State attorney begged the honor that justice be done to the case, so that others will learn and Nigeria will be a peaceful place with criminals like Charles tucked in dirts like kirikiri away from the world.
“Barrister Kayode had nothing else to say in defence, after we explained all these in court. The barrister was  shocked beyond words not just because his client hid many things from him, but also because he was his friend and he had been betrayed.  He couldn’t say anything.
“So many things got stolen; a stack of diamonds, a bride and the trust of friends.
“The hell stirred at the coming of Charles, where legions of demons are waiting to torment his soul. For even the chiefly ones on earth are pleased at his departure.”
That was how the verdict gavel hit, and a criminal gone. The King’s Forensics gladly slammed the stamp ‘Case Closed’ on the file tagged STOLEN.

Grace is yours sir. My advise: Focus on this gift, in it is the beauty of your strength. It expresses what the Word says about you as against the world. Go as far as you can see, when you get there, you would see further – Zig Ziglar! Make your passion your profession, then work would become easy and you would be paid for playing – Ben Carson.

Your work ignites hope in Africa. Woe to him who looks down on our Generation, for the SONS are born and are taking over, one territory at a time. Lets do much more.
